Unlock aspirational precision and natural terrain flow with The Matriarch—a snowboard shaped by the mind of Torstein Horgmo.

This directional cambered offering is built for riders who see the mountain not just for what it is, but for what it could be: a place where freestyle creativity meets the expanse of backcountry possibilities.

With explosive pop, dynamic control, and effortless float, The Matriarch thrives on natural features and diverse snowpack. From backcountry transitions to in-bound powder laps and variable all-mountain conditions, it blurs the line between instinct and intention—inviting riders to draw their own lines with power, style, and purpose.

Inspired by the transition from park to powder through a shared freestyle and freeriding mindset—The Matriarch provides the ability to slay the local park and stand confident at the drop-in at Natural Selection™. Introducing the new Transcend Core™ and Fairmat™ carbon amplifiers, this lightweight and agile chassis offers maximum control and versatility through varied conditions

  • Rocker Type  -  Alpine V4 Directional: The ALPINE V4 Profile features a higher traditional camber through the mid-section of the board with smooth and low tip and tail heights. Slightly elevated contact points along with big-radius tip shapes allow The Matriarch to flex like a freestyle machine and float like a powder board.
  • Flex Rating  -  Directional 7 ( 1 Soft / 10 Stiff)
  • Shape  -  Blended Radial Sidecut: BLENDED RADIAL sidecuts feature a single radius arc through the midsection of the board combined with a custom designed blend zone at the contact points. Varying the length of these blend zones and tailoring them specifically for certain aspects of riding greatly improves a board’s performance.  Directional: 0.8" Setback
  • Core  -  Transcend Core: Ultra lightweight core enhanced with full length Bamboo Power Beams™ for maximum power and response.
  • Laminates  -  Magic Bean Resin: This advanced resin system has a bio-content of 60% renewable, agricultural raw material. It is plant based, does not compete with primary food sources, and is produced with no waste or greenhouse emissions. In production, it has a low-temperature requirement with a high-yield output. This resin system is poppy, powerful, and extremely durable. MAGIC BEAN ™ resin yields much stronger and more rigid qualities allowing the wood core thickness to be decreased. The focus is to save wood core weight by increasing resin performance. This means you get a lighter board while achieving higher energy return, Hybrid Supercarbon Holysheet Tri/Tri: This cutting-edge development interweaves carbon additives directly into the HOLYSHEET™ fiberglass, leading to a substantial enhancement in precision during layup and a notable reduction in weight. 2 x 20 mm Fairmat Carbon Amplifiers: FAIRMAT™ Carbon Amplifiers are an innovative carbon additive utilizing recycled carbon material from the Aerospace Industry. Engineered to match the toughest conditions without exhausting resources, this next-generation material brings the reactive energy, strength and lightweight properties of carbon together in a sustainable, circular construction.
  • Base  -  Hyperdrive ADV XT: Engineers at The MotherShip have worked tirelessly with the world's leading polyethylene running base supplier to create HYPERDRIVE™. With exceptional anti-friction properties due to high molecular mass and specialized processing aids, this sintered material has a proprietary composition and is beyond fast. Our loyal fans charge hard, and we have integrated the fastest, meanest base available. The thickness of the XT bases have been increased for enhanced durability.
  • Topsheet  -  PLT Technology: Metallic Screen & Gloss/Matte Print
  • Binding Compatibility  -  2 x 4 Inserts
