The Liberty Origin 96 Skis are for skiers looking for a playful one-ski quiver. The Origin 96 overall is on the soft side, but a very even flex throughout the ski. This ski is at its best in tight turning spaces like moguls and trees but can certainly handle the whole mountain. The bamboo construction makes this one of the most lively and poppy skis out there. It feels as if the liveliness of this ski helps you bounce in rhythm in and out of moguls and trees. This ski can rip a groomer with power and performance also. Construction starts with a bamboo and polar wood core topped with a layer of carbon to provide a lightweight, snappy and predictable flex. Liberty has implemented VMT 1.0 which is a vertically laminated strip of Aluminum Alloy that runs from tip to tail. This adds a bit of power and stability to the ski without adding weight and without changing the personality of the ski too much. Powder performance is all relative, right? At 96-millimeters underfoot, you have more than enough width to float through the fresh stuff while also being able to smear and pivot thanks to its playful nature.
